Rivers to Miss Pro Bowl With "Sore Knee", hmmmm.......

There was movement on the AFC Pro Bowl quarterback roster on Tuesday. Both the Jets' Brett Favre and the Chargers' Philip Rivers are not going to play in the game because of injuries. Rivers is not playing because of a sore knee, a Chargers' spokesman said Tuesday night. The spokesman said Rivers is not expected to have surgery. Rivers is not expected to miss any of the Chargers' offseason condition program. Rivers suffered a torn ACL in the 2007 playoffs but played without issue in 2008 and had his best NFL season. First of all, I know many of you might be shocked that Rivers was named to the Pro Bowl in the first place but it was only as an alternate. Second, this doesn't make sense. Rivers played his last playoff game on 1/11/09 and the Pro Bowl isn't until 2/8/09. That gives him a whole month to rest his knees. This begs the question "Why is Rivers spending so much time in the off season on his knees?". Look, I understand Rivers has an "active social life" and we at CryMeARiver.Org aren't here to pass judgement on anyones lifestyle because what you do in the privacy of your own home is your buisness, but come on, at least get some knee pads. Philip, we found some knee pads for sale on Amazon.Com, CLICK HERE for the link.
