Jay McGwire has come out swinging against his older sibling, claiming he was the reason Mark got involved in steroids.Wow, thanks for the news flash Jay!! ATTENTION LOSER: The whole world already knows McGwire took roids. Your about 5 years too late with this breaking news of yours. I'm sure your really writing this book "out of love" and not because your broke and need some cash. Good luck with the book, I'm sure you will sell about 10 copies which is about the same # of people who care about you and your brother's steroid use. But seriously, who needs enemy's when you have family like this??
"Mark is a man I think most would like to forgive because his reason wasn't nefarious — it was for survival," Jay McGwire wrote. "My bringing the truth to surface about Mark is out of love. I want Mark to live in truth to see the light, to come to repentance so he can live in freedom — which is the only way to live."
Although Canseco wrote that McGwire's steroid use dated to the 1980s and that he personally injected him, Jay McGwire refuted the claim, saying his brother "took the plunge" after Jay won a California bodybuilding contest in 1994. (Source: NBC Sports)
